As we brace for cooler weather, that means flu season is near.

On Saturday, veterans got a chance to get a free flu shot.

The Veteran Affairs Medical Center held their first drive-thru flue shot clinic of the year. There was a long line of people waiting to get a shot of protection against the seasonal flu. People were lined up starting at 7:45 in the morning to get a vaccine. They distributed 230 vaccines within the first hour and a half.

If you missed Saturday, they will be doing another drive-thru flu shot clinic, next Saturday from 9 am until noon at the VA Medical Center.
