Seawolves Prepare for Playoff Game Against Richmond
The playoffs begin for the Erie Seawolves tonight after the team clinched a postseason spot Sunday for the first time in nine years.
The Seawolves will take on Richmond in a best of three-series. The action begins at UPMC Park at 6:35.
Reese Olson will be the starting pitcher for game one.
As the team prepares to claim the first Eastern League Championship in franchise history, the team is calling on the fans to help support the chase.
"This is special. You know, he ended the second longest playoff drought in the eastern league, and only Hartford has a longer one. And I think there was was 2009," said Greg Gania, Assistant GM of Communications. "So, these are special opportunities. And you know, we fought so hard to save this team for the community. And now we need the community to step up because these opportunities don't happen very often. And we want to see a huge crowd."
The ticket windows open at 10 a.m., tickets are also available online.
