Bridge Dedication Ceremony to be Held to Honor Trooper John W. Marin
Pennsylvania State Senator Michelle Brooks will be dedicating a bridge in Crawford County in Memorial of Trooper John W. Marin.
Trooper Marin retired in 1994 from Troop E Meadville.
Marin dedicated his career to public safety, and joined the Pennsylvania State Police in 1968.
Marin, or JW as he was known, served as a sniper, patrol trooper, public information officer, and liaison to the U.S. Marshals Service, but he spent most of his career as a criminal investigator.
He passed away November 3rd, 2018.
The dedication ceremony will be held on Friday, October 7th at 11 a.m.
The dedication is located at the SR 3021 bridge, just south of the South Watson Run Road and Geneva Road intersection.
The roadway will be closed to through traffic, so attendees can park along the roadway.
Afterward a small gathering will be held at the Greenwood VFD building.
