Helicopter to Apply Herbicide to Treat Invasive Plants at Presque Isle State Park
Presque Isle State Park will be applying herbicide, via helicopter, to invasive plants in areas that were not able to be reached for treatment by land or boat.
The herbicide mixture will sprayed from a helicopter onto invasive plants in several areas of the park.
The park will partially closed at Duck Pond Cross-over during the spraying operation.
The park said treatments will take place when the wind and weather conditions are within permitted allowances.
The park has set aside the week of September 27th-30th for possible spraying.
Spraying should take no longer than 8 hours to complete.
