The first weekend of fall was a good time to walk for a good cause.

The Buddy Walk took over Erie Sports Center on Saturday morning. The Buddy Walk helps raise money for those with disabilities.

The day began with registration and breakfast. Following registration, there was a presentation by Dance Vibe, some speeches by organizers and then the walk got under way.

After the walk, participants an their families or friends could enjoy local vendors, try a sport like soccer or baseball and enjoy some of the other activities that Erie Sports Center has to offer like the go-karts, mini golf or batting cages.

Organizers explained why walk like these are crucial to the community.
