For the second time this week, the A.N.N.A. Shelter is helping PA State Police with another animal seizure case.

On Thursday night, volunteers assisted state police and removed 32 dogs from a property in New Castle, PA.

The incident comes just days after the ANNA Shelter helped police seize 232 animals from a property off of Edinboro Road in Summit Township.

A.N.N.A. Shelter executive director Ruth Thompson says they also found many dead animals, with some carcasses thrown on a burn pile.

With such an influx of animals, the shelter is in need of supplies and donations.

"Anything that people can help with," said Thompson.  "Obviously, I'm in an old car wash building.  We're not fancy.  If you can buy one bag of dog food extra this week, or a gallon of bleach extra, or paper towels or garbage bags, anything like that is a huge help."

Thompson says there are a couple litters of puppies that are ready for adoption.

If you'd like to help the shelter clear some space, they are hosting an adoption drive on Saturday, October 15, from noon until 4:00 p.m. at the shelter's East 10th Street location.
