The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that work to reconstruct the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 is nearing completion.

The paving, guardrail and line painting are complete. Vehicles will be shifted back to the eastbound lanes starting this Tuesday.

Additionally, work to remove the barriers along the westbound lanes will also begin on Tuesday. Drivers should remain alert as work is done in the daylight and nighttime hours.

Once the removal of the barriers is complete, work will begin on the high-speed crossover.

PennDOT said that this is expected to be completed by mid-November, and will be the last portion of the work done during the 2022 construction season.
