Shortly after the Steelers traded wide receiver Chase Claypool to Chicago, Pittsburgh made a move to acquire cornerback William Jackson III from the Washington Commanders, according to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The deal will send Jackson and a 2025 conditional seventh-round pick to the Steelers in exchange for a 2025 conditional sixth-round pick.

Jackson has made 64 starts and appeared in 75 games in five seasons. He has five career interceptions. He was a first-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2016 NFL Draft.
