Popup Ice Skating Rink Coming to Perry Square this Winter
A popup ice skating rink is coming to Erie's Perry Square this winter, the Erie Downtown Partnership announced Thursday on Erie News Now First at 4.
It will be located on the east side of the park between State St. and the fountain.
The rink will have a synthetic surface but feel and skate like real ice.
It will be open to the public starting Small Business Saturday on Nov. 26 and remain open through the end of February.
The skating rink will be approximately 30'x50' in size and be able to accommodate about 25-30 skaters at one time.
Skaters will be required to rent skates to use on its synthetic surface for $5, which is the only cost; there is no additional admission fee.
The Erie Downtown Partnership purchased the rink, which it plans to set up each year.
Erie News Now and Erie Bank Sports Park are proud sponsors.
