Many truckers all along the Eastern Lake Erie coastline have had to remain at truck stops while wave after wave of snow hits the region.

Storms like this can do more than just delay deliveries, it can cost trucking companies a lot of money every day their drivers aren't on the road.

"If my wheels aren't spinning, I'm not making money," said Phil Elder, an owner/operator of his own trucking company. Elder says he'll be stuck at the Pilot Travel Center on the corner of I-90 and Rt. 97 for at least two more days due to the snow. "It's going to affect my profits a lot. If I'm not running, I'm losing about $1,000 a day."

According to the New York State Thruway website, the I-90 is still under snowy/icy conditions until South Buffalo.
