As heavy snow dropped late Saturday night in eastern Erie County, snow removal crews were severely tested.

A stretch on Route 20, between Harborcreek and North East had basically no visibility.

Harborcreek Supervisor Tim May told Erie News Now, "Some people are at the end of the snow route, and they get frustrated. We certainly don't do it on purpose, it's just how it is laid out."

PennDot is responsible for Route 20 with an assist from local Townships when needed.

The toughest part is dealing with side streets in a timely matter.

"We ask residents, do not park on the street during a storm and it allows our big plows to get their work done."

Harborcreek Township covers 92 miles of roadways.
