Cathedral Prep students slept outside as part of a unique fundraising initiative.

It was the 10th annual Box Village Fundraiser, a hunger and homelessness awareness movement to raise awareness of the impact of homelessness in our community.

Students are living in the village Monday night, outside in the elements, to gain a respect and understanding of those who are less fortunate.

"It gives them an opportunity outside of school to put into practice what they learn in school," said Father Jason Feigh, Chaplain of Cathedral Prep. "Putting their faith into practice giving witness and sacrifice to the greater community to the importance of the plight of homelessness in our community."

The Box Village event also raises money for the Emmaus Soup Kitchen.
