The CDC announced that across the country, flu, Covid and RSV cases are beginning to decline, but are we seeing that here in Erie

Katie Zboyovski, a Pharmacist at LECOM said, "Finally, I would like to report, yes, cases are down. So, the so called tripledemic are decreasing and that's for all age groups. But we still want to keep our eyes out for our young kiddos and our older individuals 65 and above, especially those with comorbidity conditions."

Zboyovski said people should also be in the clear from getting sick from holiday gatherings as well, but that doesn't mean the flu season is behind us, "We also need to realize that flu usually does a bimodal curve we call it, so there's potential for another surge that we want to keep an eye out for it."

Zboyovski said she is still treating patients with Covid-19 and children with RSV, "Covid treatments are still kind of here and there and again declining as much as we would like to see. But RSV we can only give the antibodies to the little young kids who are at high risk."

As far as the flu goes, LECOM officials said they still do have an interest in the flu shot clinics that happen every day and Zboyovski stressed it's not too late to get them.

But could the worst be behind us? Zboyovski said not so fast, "There's always potential so I hope this is the final straw, but do be determined unfortunately."

LECOM still has the flu clinics daily, Monday through Friday from 9:00-5:00 and Tuesday 9:00-7:00.
