The Erie location of Tuesday Morning, located in Lakewood Plaza, is closing after the Dallas-based home goods retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this week. 

The company announced the closure of 267 locations across the country. Only 220 brick-and-mortar stores will remain open for business. 

Tuesday Morning filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in an effort to address its "exceedingly burdensome debt." 

The home goods retailers said it intends to close its locations in low traffic areas so they can allocate the proper resources to the remaining stores in high traffic areas. 

The Erie location, along with the other 200 locations being closed, will be holding a clearance sale.
