Corry Public Works Keeping Roads Clear
As snow came down throughout the day on Friday, the city of Corry was prepared to handle it. According to Mark Leofsky, Corry Public Works Manager having a plan is the best way they stay on top of things. "We try to make sure that we are prepared the day before, we make sure we have trucks prepared, anti-skid salt, have guys on call and just wait to see what the weather brings," Leofsky said.
Shawn McCray, a Corry Public Works water operator, said this winter season has been more mild compared the others he has faced. "This winter season has not been too bad, we have had some decent sized winter snowstorms but nothing that we have not really seen before," McCray said.
Leofsky said that his team is always willing to serve the community. "We are here for the community, we do the best we can everyday, it does not matter if it is snow, rainstorms, flooding, whatever the issues are, we are here to accommodate them and make their lives better and safe," Leofsky said.
