The Community Blood Bank of NWPA & WNY is kicking off a new Spring into Action campaign on Saturday, March 18th. 

The Community Blood Bank is asking the community to Spring into Action and donate blood at the Erie Donor Center March 18th through March 24th. 

Additionally, donors who give blood on Saturday will receive gifts from a handful of local businesses. Donors will have the opportunity to receive tickets the Erie Zoo, ice cream vouchers to Straw Hat Sundae Shop, Niagara Car Wash vouchers, a plant from Potratz Floral Shop & Greenhouse, and a whole package of Erie's favorite Smith's Hot Dogs. 

The gift opportunities don't stop there, March 20th through the 24th, all donors at the Erie Donor Center will receive one gift item each day (while supplies last). Daily gifts will be announced on the Community Blood Bank's social media. 

All donors who donate blood during the Spring into Action campaign will receive a scoop of Smiley's Ice Cream after donating. Donors who donate during the month of March will be entered to win two Major League Baseball tickets, and a $100 Fanatics Gift Card.

The Community Blood Bank will be hosting the following blood drives to help meet the need of local hospitals: 

  • Veteran's Affairs Medical Center: March 20th, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. 
  • Edinboro McKean VFW Post 740: March 23rd, 4 - 7 p.m. 
  • St. Vincent Health Center: March 24th, 7 -11:30 a.m.
