Work to Improve Zuck Road in Erie County to Begin this Spring
A $7.8 million project to improve Zuck Road in Millcreek Township is scheduled to start soon.
The project will include resurfacing the entire two-mile stretch of Zuck Rd. from Zimmerly Rd. to West 26th St. in Millcreek Township.
Work will include:
- milling & overlay of the existing roadway
- ADA compliant curb ramps
- culvert replacement
- drainage improvements
- signage & pavement markings
Safety improvements will include:
- new traffic signal equipment
- signals re-timing
- left turn lanes
Safety improvements will be made at various intersections throughout the area.
Construction is expected to begin on Monday, March 20th. While work on the roadway is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 3rd and is expected to be completed during the 2023 construction season.
Daylight lane closures will be controlled by flaggers. Additionally, a 2.5 mile detour will be needed for a portion of the work involving the culvert replacement. The detour will be in place for two months.
