St. Vincent Hospital Honors Two Physicians on National Doctors' Day
Thursday, March 30th is National Doctors' Day, honoring those who save lives every day and make the world a healthier place to live.
On Thursday morning, Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie honored two doctors of osteopathic medicine for their continued excellence in the field.
The two honorees were Matthew McCarthy, an attending physician, and Caitlin Clark, the medical director of Saint Vincent's family medicine center.
Both McCarthy and Clark had the opportunity to contribute $500 to a charity of choice, and those recipients were the Special Olympics and hope on horseback.
"We've training well over 100 ER physicians across the united states," said Matthew McCarthy, Attending Physician. "We save millions of lives each year."
If you haven't gotten the chance yet, a simple "Thank you" to a doctor you know could go a long way in appreciating the work these individuals do on a daily basis.
