LITTLE VALLEY, NY (WNY News Now) – An inmate at the Cattaraugus County Jail is accused of attempting to escape custody.

On Thursday the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office said Dustin Dashnaw allegedly climbed through a ceiling tile and into a restricted crawl space above his cell.

Within minutes of the escape plot, correction officers noticed Dashnaw was missing and began a search.
