A woman claiming to be an ex-girlfriend of Erie County Executive Brenton Davis requested and obtained a temporary protection order against him, claiming he abused her and her children.

Currently, claims made in this matter are their allegations; they have not yet been substantiated or disproven in court.

In handwritten statements alleging abuse, the plaintiff claims she began a relationship with Davis in December 2021. She says Davis repeatedly abused her and her children, a boy and girl aged 10 and 11, respectively. Among other allegations, the plaintiff claims Davis choked and body slammed her son, and yelled at him to, in the plaintiff's words, "act like a man." She claims Davis also dragged her daughter by the girl's sweatshirt, picked her up and threw her onto her bed, hitting her head against a wall.

The plaintiff says she was also abused while dating Davis.

She claims Davis repeatedly made her perform sexual acts despite her saying, "no." She alleges he made her call him "daddy,"  dragged her by her hair and told her she belongs at home. She alleges that she told a SafeNet counselor about the abuse, and the counselor replied "Not another victim of Brenton Davis."

Davis, through a spokesman, responded to the allegations, denying any wrongdoing and saying the plaintiff showed up at his house with a rifle, so he disarmed her to protect himself. His full statement is below.

A hearing is set for Monday, April 24th at 10:30. Erie County judges have been recused from the matter to avoid any appearance of impropriety.

It's important to note, claims made by Davis and the plaintiff are their allegations; they have not been substantiated in court.
