Rallying Against Drug Overdoses and Addiction

Perry Square was busy on Saturday with people rallying for an end to drug addiction.
Taylor's Hope is a non profit started by Maria and Keith Miller in honor of daughter, Taylor who died of a drug overdose in 2021.
Taylor's Hope joined with the APALD which is the Association for People Against Lethal Drugs to raise awareness about drug overdoses and how quickly they can turn deadly.
The third annual rally was held for the first in Erie had information and resources available including free narcan.
Event organizers hoped Saturday's event prevents drug overdoses and deaths from occurring.
Erie County District Attorney Elizabeth Hirz spoke alongside a certified recovery specialty and a representative from Blueprints for Recovery.
