Syracuse Select will be hosting nine youth basketball tournaments in Erie for the first time this year. The tournaments will be hosted by the Erie Sports Center. 

The events will take place throughout the year. The first tournament was held on April 29th through the 30th. The final tournament will take place in December. 

More than 4,000 players will participate in the Syracuse Select tournaments.

The Erie Sports Commission said more than 6,000 spectators are expected to attend the nine events, which are estimated to generate more than $1 million in economic activity.
