The 33rd Anniversary of the Thurston Classic Hot Air Balloon event is scheduled for June 15th through the 18th. 

The Thurston Classic is open to the public, free of charge. Flights will take place at the Allegheny College Robertson Athletic Complex in Meadville. 

The Thurston Classic said all events are subject to weather which could cause cancellations or delays.

Additionally, guests are advised to bring lawn chairs or blankets as seating is not provided. 

Thurston Classic Schedule of events: 

  • Thursday, June 15: Joyce Stevens' Night Glow at 9 p.m. 
  • Friday, June 16: Ted Watt's Tribute Sponsor's Flight at 6 p.m. 
  • Saturday June 17th: Sanctioned Race #1 at 7 a.m., Sanctioned Race #2 at 6 p.m. 
  • Sunday, June 18th: Sanctioned Race #3 at 7 a.m.
