Middle school students gained the opportunity to explore career paths from both college and trade school programs.

Strong Vincent Middle School hosted its first career and technical fair.

The event is a collaboration of Strong Vincent's go trade and go college programs, which offer students the opportunity to explore various career pathways for life after high school.

All Strong Vincent 6th, 7th and 8th-graders had opportunity to visit the fair, which featured more than 25 community partners which represent various industries and trades in the community.

"When you're in middle school you're looking all different things. You're building social skills, emotional skills, you're learning math, science, and English," said Kaitlyn Falk, Strong Vincent Middle School. "Kids are like why does this matter but this is the foundation for future careers. The skills in middle school do matter and we want them to know that."
