Owner of Mighty Fine Donuts Plans to Retire, Sell Business
For the past 57 years, Kevin Brigaman has been dedicated to doughnuts.
"We've been doing this since 1966," said Brigaman. "I've been here since I was a little kid."
For more than five decades, the Brigaman family has owned and operated Mighty Fine Donuts.
Ever since, the Parade Street staple has been serving up sweet treats to its loyal customers.
However, after working 60 hours a week over the years, Brigaman decided it's time for change.
"I'm getting old," said Brigaman. "I want to retire. I want to go travel somewhere. I've had four vacations in my lifetime. I'm 65-years-old this year."
Brigaman has placed Mighty Fine Donuts up for sale with Passport Realty.
The asking price is $795,000.
Brigaman hopes the new owner will keep the business running, while retaining his 13 employees.
"I would love to be able to...pass it down to somebody who actually has enough energy and enough hours to do this," said Brigaman. "I'd like to see it stay."
In the meantime, Brigaman has no intention of closing.
"Thank you (community) for the support," said Brigaman. "We've been doing this a long time. Hope it continues."
