Country Fair issued a statement, acknowledging diesel fuel was mistakenly put in an unleaded gasoline storage tank at one of its stores on Tuesday.

Representatives for the convenience store called it an isolated incident which only impacted customers at the location at 7650 Old Perry Highway in Summit Township.

"Country Fair sincerely apologizes to all our customers who were affected by this incident," the statement said. "Country Fair cares about our customers and the community and is committed to covering any costs associated with vehicle repairs if any are required."

Country Fair is asking that anyone who purchased gasoline at the impacted store between 5 and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and believes their vehicle was affected to call its offices at 814-898-1111 to file a claim.
