An Erie man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for selling the fentanyl which led to a person's death, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Delvon Sanders, 33, was named in the three-count indictment for violating federal drug laws.

Sanders sold a quantity of fentanyl which led to a death on April 17, 2023, according to the indictment.

He is also accused of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl April 18 and possession of methamphetamine on that same date, the court said.

Sanders faces a maximum sentence of life in prison, a fine of up to $7,000,000 or both, if convicted.
