The Erie Zoo is giving kids the opportunity to get up close and personal with heavy-duty machinery by hosting Equipment Day. 

Equipment Day is scheduled for Saturday, June 3rd  from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the zoo. 

Kids will able to interact with machinery that they would see on a construction site, farm, or responding to emergencies. There will be over a dozen pieces of equipment including dump trucks, excavators, tractors, and more. 

Additionally, the first 1,000 kids will get a plastic construction hat. 

The event is free with paid admission to the Erie Zoo, the event will go on rain or shine.
