The Erie County Public Library is launching its 2023 Summer Reading Challenge on Monday, June 12.

The challenge starts on Monday and will conclude on Saturday, August 12.

The Erie County Public Library (ECPL) is encouraging readers of all ages to register for the Summer Reading Challenge.

Participants can complete the challenge by reading a minimum of 12 hours, documenting activities they've attended throughout the summer, as well as writing book reviews of their summer reads.

Participants can log their time spent reading or listening to written material in any format. ECPL said this includes books, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, graphic novels, and comics.

All participants will be eligible for a prize drawing on August 16, 2023. There will be a grand prize drawing for each age category (0-5, 6-12, 13-17, and 18+) at each ECPL location.

More information on the 2023 Summer Reading Challenge can be found on the ECPL's website
