Negotiating teams from the Wabtec plant in Erie and its unions will meet again at the bargaining table Tuesday.

Striking union workers in U.E. Local 506 and 618 continue to walk the picket line.

Their negotiators and company sat down with a federal mediator Thursday to resume talks, but there was no quick agreement.

U.E. 506 officials say they laid out the members' key issues identified through a recent survey.

The company, in a statement after the talks, said the parties remain far apart on some key issues.

Wabtec officials say they are considering the union's proposals and preparing a written response.

The strike has been going on since June 22.
