Checking In with The Ukrainian Boy's Hockey Team

"They're working hard and don't quit," said head coach Ievgen Pysarenko. "They are shining."
Pysarenko is proud of the work his team has put in during the first week of the Ukrainian Hockey Camp and Cultural Exchange. The kids that are part of the camp are having lots of fun, but it's a go, go, go from the weight room to the ice.
Pysarenko expresses discipline to his players, and as someone who used to play professional hockey, they have the right mentor behind them.
"If they are disciplined, there's more efficient training," Pysarenko said. "They're more focused."
As he coaches, Pysarenko also speaks both his native language and English to his players, really emphasizing on the cultural exchange.
"They need to learn English too," Pysarenko said. "It's one of our targets after three weeks, [to] speak better."
Plus, he's been taking plenty of videos to share with his friends and family back home.
"They love it," Pysarenko said. "They want it as much as possible."
