Escapee Michael Burham is now incarcerated in the Erie County Prison, according to county officials and records.

We're told around midnight he arrived at the prison.

Burham was arrested Saturday evening in Warren County after escaping from the Warren County Jail on July 6.

After being in contact with the Fugitive Task Force, U.S. Marshals and judges, Erie County learned it would take custody of Burham, Erie County Executive Brenton Davis told Erie News Now's Philip Ward on Saturday.

Given Burham's previous escape from the Warren County Jail, Davis said he has no concerns that Burham will escape from the Erie County Prison.

"Erie County Prison is the most secure facility in Western Pennsylvania, I would stack our jail up to just about any in the country so that is another reason why even leading up to this there was plans that when he was caught and we knew he would be caught that he would come here," said Davis. "This is a great facility with the finest correctional officers and staff here in Western Pennsylvania and there is absolutely no chance he is getting out of here."
