A  new mural meant to inspire people to follow their dreams is set to be unveiled this Saturday

It can be found on 5th and Sassafras Street in Downtown Erie.

This is the first public piece of artwork in Erie by a Vancouver artist. The artist, Sebastian Kovacs, said it took about a year for the project to come together. He first drew the mural by hand and then had it projected on the side of the building where it took him four days to paint it.

He and his business partner hopes this mural will inspire people to follow their dreams and work to achieve their goals.

Matthew Petruso, the President of Benefit Advisors Insurance Group and Petruso Properties said, "We really just wanted to let people engage in a network with other like minded people that want to also inspire, that also want to share their stories of how they went from just a dream in their mind to creating a life completely on their own."

Sebastian Kovacs, the artist shared the meaning behind the mural, "So this wall was basically, in essence, a capturing of that feeling so that we could then share that message permanently for all those who experience it and then set the tone for future projects that go even bigger with the same the same attention."

The public is invited to the official unveiling on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at 514 Sassafras Street.

Organizers said it will also be chance for people to meet and network with other entrepreneurs, business leaders and community members in the Erie community.
