An Erie man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 90 on Wednesday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

It happened in the westbound lanes of the interstate near mile marker 37, which is near the interchange with I-86, around 4:19 p.m.

Anthony Culver, 52, was heading westbound on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the right lane when he passed multiple vehicles which were in the left lane, investigators said.

Culver then moved into the left lane but went into the gravel on the shoulder and hit several guide rail posts, according to troopers.

He was knocked off the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.
