Local Machinists Utilizing Advanced Technology
Machining has evolved, and the demand for robotic automation continues to rise.
Jackson Brining, a processing engineer with Machining Concepts, says the robot they utilize has evolved the work of skilled laborers.
"What it has done for us is allow our skilled laborers to focus on other tasks that would not be as monotonous and boring," said Brining.
The technology being utilized by companies like machining concepts has streamlined the repeatability and accuracy of the job. A machine processes a piece of material using a coded program, rather than utilizing manual labor to do the job.
"The robot can take easy monotonous job and run it 24/7, allowing an operator that would be on that machine to focus on another, more important machine. Something that will keep their interest a little bit better."
Mark Wilkosz, the Vice President of Machining Concepts, tells us that machinists are producing custom-designed parts utilizing the newer advanced technology.
Wilkosz stresses the hands-on nature of the job. He says that this generation of manufacturing is high-tech and skilled workers are needed to operate these advanced tools.
"The technology is not taking over; it's just assisting us and making us better machinists."
