The Village West Plaza in Millcreek welcomed two new businesses with grand openings Friday morning.

Lake Erie Variety and La Bella Vita are both locally owned by Anthony DiPasqua with several business partners.

Lake Erie Variety opened three years ago, but quickly outgrew its online store and a previous smaller storefront.

La Bella Vita was previously The Lavender Rabbit. DiPasqua bought the store from the previous owner, and while the name and branding have changed, it still sells oils, vinegars, and other cooking wares.

Lake Erie Variety sells Erie-themed merchandise.

"So as we looked for a new location, we wanted to be somewhere small businesses were thriving," said DiPasqua. "Village West rose to the top of the list. Millcreek is where we started, we wanted to be easily found, continue to grow, and support other small businesses in the plaza."
