Key West Express Tribute Band to Jimmy Buffett

On Sunday, people were listening, singing along and dancing to Jimmy Buffett songs. Key West Express, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, took the stage at Oliver's Beer Garden, hoping to remember and honor the song-writer and musician, Jimmy Buffett who died.
"As we know, we lost Jimmy on Friday night, and so tonight is going to be very bittersweet, but we're here to celebrate his life, and all he's done for this world. He was a special guy, and so we're here tonight to honor him and play his music the best we can," guitarist and singer for Key West Express Jon Sedelmyer said.
Long-time fan Jerome Simon has gone to see Buffett in concert for years.
“People always ask, how many concerts have you been to? I've been to more concerts than I am years old. This hair was not this color when we started going, let's put it that way,”
Simon said.
Simon planned on coming down to see the Buffett tribute band, even before Buffett had died. Now, Simon reflects back to Buffet's own lyrics as he remembers him.
“As he plays this one song, and he talks about 40 good years, well he had 76 good years,” Simon said.
For Simon, Buffett and his music made an impact.
“He was an inspiration for my life, and like he said, in living life like a song. . . all three of my license plates have something to do with Buffet, one says J-Buffett, one says Creola and one says license to chill. Sail on jimmy. It brings a tear to my eye,” Simon said.
