Erie News Now Sunrise is excited to kick off another year of How Cool Is Your School.

This year’s theme is out of this world. In celebration of the total solar eclipse, we invite you to create a 1 minute, 30 second video showing us how the science in your school is out of this world.

Maybe it’s a neat experiment your class does, a way your school incorporates science into its daily operations, or how you’re planning on observing the total solar eclipse. This is your opportunity to demonstrate how your cool school creates out of this world science!

Remember, be creative. Each video will be judged on creativity, focus, quality, time requirement, and rate of difficulty. Submissions should not include any copyrighted video or music.

The deadline for all video submissions is Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 5 p.m.

The top four winning schools will be announced on Erie News Now Sunrise during the 6 a.m. hour the following week.

The four winning schools will receive $250 from Northshore Insurance Agency and host Erie News Now Sunrise for a live broadcast.

All four winning videos will also be submitted into an online voting contest to win a $5,000 TV ad campaign for the non-profit charity of their choice. Voting will start Oct. 27.
