VisitErie is partnering with Lake Erie Wine Country to launch the Vintage Erie Wine Challenge. 

The challenge is similar to the Lake Erie Ale Trail Brew Crew Challenge. The goal is to use the free Hello Erie Trip Planner app and check in to at least six wineries to receive a completion badge and a prize. 

20 wineries in Lake Erie Wine County are participating in the challenge. 

After participants complete the challenge their completion badge can be turned in for a four-pack of bamboo appetizer plates and a Lake Erie Wine Country wooden grill flipper. 

Completion badges can be exchanged at VisitErie's office at the Erie Intermodal Transportation Center. 

VisitErie said the mobile app challenge offers a unique opportunity to promote the region's wineries and incentivize people to visit and explore the Erie area. 

The Vintage Erie Wine Challenge runs from Friday, September 15 through Tuesday, October 31.
