West Bayfront Community Rehabilitation Project Receives $40K Boost

A grant presented on Wednesday which will help create affordable housing for low-income families.
The Erie Art Museum hosted the annual grant award reception.
Young Erie Philanthropists awarded $40,000 to the West Bayfront Community Rehabilitation Project.
Nick Cianci, incoming chair for the organization, says the grant and project align with its goal and focus.
"Our group is focused on supporting economic, community and workforce development in Erie," said Cianci. "We thought this was a project that would allow us to improve the housing stock on the west side of town and create opportunities for reasonable home ownership, safety and quality of life in our neighborhoods."
Cianci also said they are grateful for the support, and this is the largest grant yet for the group.
