A Linesville woman who is accused of illegally possessing guns has pleaded guilty to federal charges, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Friday.

Suzanne King, 48, entered the guilty plea for two counts of violating federal firearms laws.

King possessed three firearms while being a convicted felon in August 2021, according to information presented to the court.

Federal law prohibits anyone who has been convicted of a felony from possessing a firearm.

One of the firearms was an illegal, unregistered sawed off shotgun, according to the court.

She is scheduled to return to court for sentencing Jan. 9, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.

King faces a total sentence of up to 20 years in prison, a maximum fine of $500,000, or both, based on the seriousness of the offense and any prior criminal history.

The court continued King on bond while she awaits sentencing.
