Applications for the Erie Access Improvement Program are now being accepted by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC).

Funding from the program supports projects that provide public fishing access or protect or improve fish habitat for Lake Erie, Presque Isle Bay, and their tributaries, and waters that flow into those tributaries.

Municipal and county governments, and nonprofit groups (501c3) including land trusts, conservancies, and watershed associations qualify for funding from the program.

Interested applicants may seek grants for the following: site acquisition, access development, expansion, rehabilitation, and other types of projects that benefit fishing and public fishing on Lake Erie or its tributaries.

According to the PFBC, funding requests require a 50 percent match.
