Registration for this year's Northwest Polar Plunge is now open. The event supports more than 500 Special Olympics Pennsylvania athletes in the community. 

Funds from the Polar Plunge cover the cost of expenses for athletes to compete in many events, including local, regional, state, and national competitions. 

Additionally, according to event organizers, because of fundraisers like the Polar Plunge, all Special Olympics programs are free for our athletes and their families.

Those interested in participating in this year's Northwest Polar Plunge can register online. The event will take place at Beach 7 at Presque Isle State Park on Saturday, November 11.
