Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Updates Plans for Cranberry Street Improvement Project in the City of Erie

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has updated its plans for improvements being made at the intersection of Cranberry Street and the Bayfront Parkway in the City of Erie.
According to PennDOT, the purpose of the Cranberry Street Improvement Project is to improve the safety and efficiency for pedestrians and vehicles.
The original plan includes the installation of a new traffic signal and pedestrian upgrades at the intersection of the Bayfront Parkway and Cranberry St..
Additionally, the project new ADA curb ramps, pedestrian signals and lighting-and piano key style painted crosswalks.
PennDOT said they are adding additional sidewalk work to the proposal.
