A senior at McDowell High School earned a perfect score on his AP Research exam. Judah Jones is one of 357 students to earn a perfect score in AP Research for 2023.

Judah's project was titled, "Afropessimism, Performance Studies, and Literary Narrative Metaphor in James Baldwin's Go Tell IT on the Mountain."

According to Millcreek Township School District, Judah's project goal was to determine the extent to which James Baldwin's Go Tell It on the Mountain aligned with the social theory of Afropessimism's understanding of social construction.

Additionally, Judah developed a new concept within literary theory, which he titled Literary Narrative Metaphor, meant to communicate a complex worldview through structural construction of the narrative.

The new approach to literary analysis provides a more instructional and scientific way to analyze works than previous methodology.
