The Warren County Jail is accepting proposals to update the building's security. Plans to update the jail will include new deterrents within the jail yard and updates to the roof structure.

Erie News Now sat down with Warren County Commissioner Jeff Eggleston for more details.

“The County has released an Request for Proposal for solicitation of services to expand security on the roof of the Warren County Jail, including the yard," said Eggleston. "This would increase the level of deterrents to get onto the roof and to access the roof itself.”

These updates will be one of the largest advancements the county has implemented within the last five years.

The proposals will be reviewed within the next few weeks, with implementation happening as soon as next month.
