Gannon University Opens MakerSpace in I-Hack Building

Gannon staff, students, and guests celebrated the opening of MakerSpace, the newest floor in the I-Hack Building.
The space is designated for exploring new tracks and innovation in manufacturing, connecting traditional methods with the future.
The floor took over two years to design and finish, with the ribbon cutting on Friday officially granting students access to the lab.
The MakerSpace has a wide variety of machines and technology, including the first metal printer on campus.
Gannon staff hopes the space can be utilized by students and small businesses in the area, who are invited to reach out and explore if students can design products that help them.
