Governor Hochul heads to Israel
ALBANY, NY (Erie News Now)-- Gov. Kathy Hochul PLANS TO LEAVE Tuesday NIGHT FOR ISRAEL ON A SOLIDARITY MISSION WHERE SHE INTENDS TO MEET WITH DIPLOMATIC LEADERS AND COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY HAMAS ATTACKS.
AT A BRIEFING BEFORE HER DEPARTURE EARLIER TODAY, GOV. HOCHUL SAid HER TRIP, WHICH WILL COInCIDE WITH PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN ALSO TRAVELING TO ISRAEL THIS WEEK.
THE GOVERNOR Said SHE SHARES A COLLECTIVE VISION WITH PRESIDENT BIDEN TO SUPPORT DIPLOMATIC EFFORTS THAT INCLUDE STANDING IN SOLIDARITY WITH ISRAEL ENSURING THEY HAVE RESOURCES NEEDED TO PROTECT CITIZENS.
SHE SAid ITS ALSO IMPORTANT TO DO THIS IN A WAY THAT ALLOWS CITIZENS IN GAZA TO GET HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE.
“All of our collective hearts are broken at the suffering and loss of life that is ensued from this terrorist attack on the state of Israel. And as Governor I want to go and human level show some love from New York,” said Hochul.
Hochul intends to return to the U.S. later this week.
