ALBANY, NY (Erie News Now)--Gov. Kathy Hochul is currently in Israel on a solidarity mission. On her second day, she met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 

Hochul also visited the Israeli boarder, the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Shaare Zedek Hospital, and the headquarters for United Hatzalah, a volunteer-based emergency medical services organization. 

SHE SAid SEEING AND HEARING STORIES OF LOSS IN ISRAEL IS PROFOUND. SHE SAid REPRESENTING A LARGE AMOUNT of JEWISH COMMUNITIES IN NEW YORK, IT IS IMPORTANT FOR HER TO SEE AND EXPERIENCE what is happening in ISRAEL.  

“I needed to go process this in person, because I have so many people back in New York who stand with Jewish people and their right to live free and coexist with others,” said Hochul.

GOV. HOCHUL INTENDS TO RETURN TO THE UNITED STATES Friday.
