As another Veterans Day approaches, we are honoring a member of the 3rd Infantry Division.

Philip Larimore was the Army's youngest and one of its most highly decorated frontline soldiers in World War II.

His divisions daily battles in Southern Europe were later described as, "The Forgotten Front".

Philip fought and sacrificed, losing a leg.

He made it home to Louisiana and later taught at L.S.U.

Nearly five decades after serving, he finally told his family about his tour of duty.

After his death 20 years ago, his son Walter started doing research for a book.

16 years later and after reading 450 letters his dad sent home, the book was ready to hit the bookstands.

In April of 2022, "At First Light" became a popular book to read.

The first printing quickly sold out.

Hear from Philip's son Walter, and his journey with Mike Yorkey as they put this incredible story together.
